Operations Manager
FEMA Corporation is looking to hire a strong leader as an Operations Manager. In this role, the ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to lead cross functional teams using data driven analysis to meet production schedules, manage a successful training regimen for new employees, drive continuous improvement through technical problem-solving skills and Lean Manufacturing strategies, and promote a company culture encourages quality, performance, and employee morale.
Work hours will be 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday – Friday with flexibility to support all shifts and locations as needed. This position will report to the senior Operations Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and support employees by providing career coaching, bridging communication between operations teams and leadership, and other tasks.
- Maintain production schedules and be able to navigate supply chain, quality, or labor issues to sustain performance goals.
- Monitor and publish Production Line performances at set intervals and manage proactive corrective actions to negative trends.
- Develop, review, and implement policy and strategic direction for the department.
- Establish/nurture healthy working relationships with other departments to achieve a common goal.
- Assist Human Resources in disciplinary, recruitment, and retention activities.
- Adopt and promote a culture consistent with company mission.
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business or engineering degree.
- 5 years’ experience in manufacturing management.
- Experience with Lean/Six Sigma Systems.
- Willingness to work extra hours as needed.
- Problem solving using a technical mindset and project management skills to make decisions and drive productivity and progress.
- Strong understanding of Corporate Financial Management
- Communication skills and high emotional intelligence
